Become a Member of the
South Bay Botanic Garden
San Diego County’s newest public garden would like YOU to become a member. Located on the campus of Southwestern College in Chula Vista, this 4-acre delight provides beauty, learning opportunities, and a respite from busy everyday life.
What does the garden have to offer you?
The South Bay Botanic Garden (or SBBG) has a wide variety of plant materials for viewing. It allows you to see a large array of flowering and foliage shrubs and trees, various types of ground covers, turfgrass varieties suitable for the area, espaliered fruit trees, and more.
We also have a large variety of horticulture courses, in which anyone may enroll, so that individuals may improve their knowledge of the plant world.
Why should you become a member? The reasons are numerous:
Advanced notice of special events.
Easy and early access entry for special events.
Membership-only events.
Reduced rates on fee-based events.
What does a membership cost?
For $50.00 per year, you will acquire a supporting membership which allows for the member and up to three accompanying guests to enjoy the garden and all garden events. For example, if your friend and her two children came to visit, each of you could enjoy supporting membership privileges. Our only requirement is that the person that bought the membership actually be present at the garden. And, for all special events, you would receive advanced notice and, in some cases, be able to receive early entry into the event. In addition, multiple year memberships can be purchased which result in a reduced annual cost. Your support will help to make the South Bay Botanic Garden a really special place to visit!
